We offer an approachable, friendly and collaborative design service to both residential and commercial clients from Surrey through to the Cotswolds. From transformation of individual rooms through to full design and refurbishment, we have the in-house expertise to support throughout. Our services include the following:
THE CONCEPT
Following an initial meeting, at which we agree with you the budget and timescales for your project, we will work with you to understand your style preferences then propose an initial concept for the design. The purpose of the concept is to evoke a specific mood for each room or space through the visualisation of textures, colours and furnishings/lighting.
The concept ensures that we understand you and your design preferences. We work with you to draw out your personal style rather than impose a style upon you. We include your existing furniture and family heirlooms within the concept, if you are building on an existing room scheme.
Some projects may also require more detailed concepts, for example for complex joinery or for curtain and blind styles.
KITCHEN & BATHROOM DESIGN
From design concept through to layout, specifying brassware, cabinet style and colour, worktops, splashbacks, sanitaryware and tiles, we can guide you through the design of your kitchen or bathroom to create a space that truly works for you and your lifestyle, and which reflects your personality. We can also recommend local suppliers and trades people that we have worked with over the years to assist with turning your dream into reality.
LAYOUT & SPACE PLANNING
For many projects it is key to draw up the space in 2D, using CAD software to work out the best layout options for your room. This not only gives a visual representation of the layout options but also ensures that the right size of furniture is ordered to best fit the space.
For most projects we endeavour to provide 2 - 3 layout options for you to consider.
JOINERY
Bespoke built in joinery is not only functional but also adds character and can serve as a striking backdrop or focal feature within a room. We work with joiners to ensure that you have both the storage you need and the aesthetics to work with the room design.
CURTAINS, BLINDS & UPHOLSTERY
We offer a bespoke curtain and blind making service using local trusted and experienced curtain makers. We will advise you on fabrics that complement your room and scheme and on the style of the window treatment including headers. We will order samples and discuss these with you and assist in the decisions on the poles, finials and drawing mechanisms.
We also have links with local upholsterers, and would, as with curtains advise on fabrics and upholstery styles. We help clients reupholster existing pieces and also regularly assist in the design of new bespoke upholstery items.
SAMPLES & FINISHES PRESENTATION
We would present in person all of the finishes that we propose for your scheme, which may include: wall colours and coverings, curtains/blinds and upholstery fabrics, furniture finishes, hard flooring and carpet suggestions, handles, tiles, cabinet paint colours, worktops and splashbacks.
We leave the samples with you, so that you can touch and feel the fabrics, take the paint colours around your house and really get a feel for the finishes in your space.
FURNITURE, ACCESSORIES & LIGHTING
We use an online interactive room board to present all of the items we propose to include in the space, such as furniture, accessories and lighting, reflecting your preferred furniture layout option. Through this board we can communicate directly with you on each of the suggestions made . We endevour to provide a few options for each item - on which you can leave feedback and then finally accept or reject. All of the items will fit with the original concept and all sizes will be checked against the proposed room layout.
Once all of the suggestions have been identified and accepted we can work with our clients on the procurement and installation, should they require our assistance under our project co-ordination service.
PROJECT COORDINATION
We offer a range of services, from full project coordination of large-scale residential development projects to a lighter touch of procuring and ordering items on our client's behalf. We are experienced at working with contractors and suppliers alike.
If you would like us to turn your new room or home into a ready to walk into space, we can manage the full set up, down to having the lamps on ready for your arrival.
Whatever your project coordination requirements, we can ensure that your project runs smoothly and with as much or as little of your involvement as best suits you.
